Thanksgiving Moon by DM Stith, via Ohmpark. One of the best, and yet totally underrated, debut albums ever. Stream it on Muxtape, but beware, “Heavy Ghost” is highly addictive!

Spleen by Charles Baudelaire, via Fleursdumal.org. In our dark times, a piece of ourselves comes to an end. I think Baudelaire expressed this feeling in the best possible way.

Batcat by Mogwai, via Stereo Jealousy. This is my favorite song from their last album “The Hawk Is Howling”. Can’t wait to watch them live tonight in Milan @ Rolling Stone. Let’s make it epic!

No Depression by Uncle Tupelo, via River’s Invitation. This is from their 1990 debut album and today sounds just perfect: “I’m going where there’s no depression / To a better land that’s free from care / I’ll leave this world of toil and trouble / My home’s in heaven / I’m going there” …

Never Had Nobody Like You by M. Ward feat. Zooey Deschanel, via Stereogum. One more month and M. Ward’s new album Hold Time will be released. Just in time for my birthday!
